“When the souls of believers come together to a gathering like this, it is the feast of the spirits.”
Asalaamu ‘alaikum wa rahmatu l-lahi wa barakatuhu! A warm welcome to everyone to The Rihla Reflections– Deen Intensive’s official blog! We’re very excited to announce that for the first time ever we will be blogging the entire Rihla experience inshaAllah, and we’ll be doing so from the the magnificent city of Istanbul, Turkey. Since many of you are not able to attend Rihla in person, please join us virtually. Throughout the summer, we will post summaries, pictures, and videos on this blog and our Facebook and Twitter pages so everyone can get a taste of the Rihla. Also check out our Rihla Live Stream. It’ll be a FREE live streaming of all the Rihla classes and is a fantastic opportunity for everyone to benefit from the teachers. Let us know if there is something in particular you would like to know or just let us know what you think about our posts. We’d love to hear from you all.

I will also be transiting by Istanbul this summer and was wondering if I could give my salamis to the shaykh and ask them for dua
Salams to all,
Bravo to the Rihla Team for this initiative!
Cannot wait to follow this blog and the live stream this summer ( since I couldnt make it to the actual Rihla experience sadly). You guys are soooo blessed for this opportunity, there is not a better place I would have spent my summer retreat this year than the Rihla but Allah SWT planned otherwise for me alhamdullilah ‘ala kula hal.
Dear Idil,
Wa alaikum asalaam. Thank you for the words of encouragement. May all of our summers be filled with openings and growth. Ameen. And, yes, please do join us via the live stream and this blog inshaAllah, and let us know what you think about our posts. :)
Can you please make the videos available on zaytuna youtube for us to avail from in future and I wish I had known about it earlier & joined you in Turkey.
remember me in your duas please . have blessed days in both lives.
Regards
Nadia
Dear Nadia. Thanks for your inquiry. To answer your questions:
1. Rihla Live Stream: http://www.deenintensive.com/rihla-2012/live-stream
This will inshaAllah have recordings of the Rihla classes. Note there’s an enhanced pass which comes with access to video recordings for one year– this option is a great way to watch the classes at one’s own pace and schedule.
2. In order to know about programs like Rihla, please consider subscribing with Deen Intensive at http://www.deenintensive.com/ (top right there’s a window to enter email address).
Also if you’re on FB, you can always like and visit the Deen Intensive page to hear about upcoming programs. :)
Asalamulaikum. Is it possible to send the Rihla reflections to my email address?
There is a “Follow” button in the bottom right corner of the screen, you can click it and enter your email to subscribe for updates with new posts.
salaam alaikum
I’m also spending my summer in Istanbul this summer for a different program. Will it be possible for me to have an opportunity to drop by one of the sessions and give my salaam to the scholars present?

Salem,
I would love to have a forum where all the members or the followers get involved in various discussions about various topics. laws, rules, and restrictions in Islam which many of us know about, but cannot explain the reason, or the wisdom that motivates those rules and restrictions. Shukran!
